Rex Regum Qeon Esports Team

On Day 20 of VCT Pacific 2023, RRQ takes on Global Esports for their opening matchup of Day 20. Both teams aim to make it to the playoffs stages.

RRQ Esports of Indonesia recently made it to the VCT Pacific League and has made quite an impression upon fans with their performance. Even with such an inexperienced roster, their impressive performances have won fans over.

Origins

Rex Regum Qeon (abbreviated as RRQ), established in Indonesia in October 2013, began as an esports organization specializing in Dota 2 before expanding to encompass MOBA scene with Dota 2, Free Fire, League of Legends: Wild Rift, FIFA and Valorant teams.

The Philippine team participated in the VC Tour 2023, showing some promise throughout their matches despite their limited experience competing against top players from other regions. However, due to this shortcoming they struggled when competing against such top competition.

Rex Regum Qeon faced FUT Esports during the second day of Omega bracket play at this event and gained the upper hand quickly on Lotus map to take an early lead, eventually finishing half time 7:5.

Roster

Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), one of ten teams chosen to compete in the inaugural VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 Pacific League tournament, boasts an exciting young roster from the Philippines that includes Skadooskurt, Rabbet, Flash, Hemsyxx Tr1x kellyS.

Although their roster may be young, they bring much to the competitive mobile gaming scene. Their players possess high discipline and do not underestimate any opponent, especially those from different countries in their region.

For any team to succeed in the VALORANT Championship Series, they must work as one unit and communicate effectively amongst members while being more aggressive and decisive on the battlefield. In order to accomplish this task, RRQ esports organization has implemented rules and regulations which players must abide by as well as making attendance of team meetings and training mandatory.

Performance

RRQ has not done too well during the initial weeks of this tournament; however, they managed to secure two victories which is an encouraging sign and they should strive to improve over the remaining weeks.

Global Esports chose Lotus Map as their starting ground, with Asia players immediately noting their inferiority compared to European opponents and being unable to mount an effective attack; Europeans on defense held firm and soon earned themselves an 11:2 victory advantage.

FUT Esports began the next match on Pearl, where Global Esports and EDward Gaming chose to fight fiercely before ultimately succumbing. Although FUT Esports managed to keep Indonesia at bay for 13 of 14 games played so far this tournament, their loss dropped them into quarterfinals of Omega bracket. 100 Thieves has joined FUT Esports to advance further while Global Esports was eliminated early from tournament play.

Future

Rex Regum Qeon is one of Asia’s premier teams, but their performance at VALORANT 2023: LOCK//IN Sao Paulo wasn’t as expected. After being knocked out from their Omega bracket along with Global Esports and EDward Gaming, Team Vitality, FUT Esports, and 100 Thieves advanced further in competition.

First up on Day Three was GE and RRQ, two teams who both started off slowly but have seen recent success in winning matches over time. Of note is how GES seemed particularly dominant during the second part of the event: pushing Paper Rex close on two maps while defeating Talon Esports and Gen.G in that series.

RRQ wasn’t as impressive, but still made some notable plays during the second half of the tournament. They won several matches and even overcame Detonation FocusMe – an impressive accomplishment.
