Team Nigma of MENA region and Galaxy Racer of South East Asia have joined forces to form Nigma Galaxy Esports Division. This merger will expand content creation capabilities while adding more branches for Nigma Galaxy.
Nigma Galaxy are fighting hard for promotion back into Division 1, having relegated last season. To assist their effort they have recruited former OG player Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf as part of the roster this season.
CSGO
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is one of the world’s largest and most successful esports competitions. Played by players around the globe, its widespread appeal has drawn massive audiences to events held for its tournament.
Nigma Galaxy was an uncontested force on the European female CS:GO scene last year, yet struggled during Tour 2 and were eventually demoted into Division 2. Following this setback, Nigma Galaxy have announced a partnership agreement with Aldar, an Abu Dhabi real estate development company, that includes providing training facilities as well as other benefits.
Nigma Galaxy’s struggles were highlighted during its loss against NiP Impact, with their majority European roster proving too much for Nigma to bear. Nigma’s star player SumaiL struggled against their much more experienced opponents from NIP; thus signalling to Nigma Galaxy management that perhaps younger players should take over.
