Overwatch League

The Overwatch League is an elite professional league for the world’s best Overwatch teams. It features a regular season divided into stages with qualifying events and playoffs between them; global LAN tournaments; as well as an annual Grand Finals competition.

Overwatch is an innovative first-person shooter that adds new life and excitement to the genre. Matches are fast-paced and exciting, featuring a countdown timer and score ticker that keep action fresh and engaging.

San Francisco Shock has proven itself a powerhouse of the Overwatch League, winning back-to-back Stage 2 championships since their entry. They remain one of only two teams to achieve such an achievement and appeared virtually unstoppable during their first year of competitive play. Winning an Overwatch Contenders title doesn’t guarantee a spot in the Overwatch League; nonetheless, winning back-to-back titles is no guarantee of entry; nonetheless, winning both Jung “Kilo” Jin-woo and Oh “FiNN” Se-jin from O2 Blast Korea are stars within their roster that came through Contenders Korea last year with O2 Blast.

League of Legends

The Shock’s 2023 roster boasts both rookie talent and veterans with experience. Choi “Max” Su-min, Chae “HeeSang” Heesang are two top rookie picks from O2 Blast; Park “Vindaim” Jun-woo has spent time on loan with Seoul Dynasty in Overwatch Contenders South Korea.

Although they might have lost 2022 Overwatch League Grand Finals MVP Jay “sinatraa” Won, the Shock’s roster remains one of the strongest in the league. Their diverse range of damage, support, and tank players made quick work of getting through lower bracket competition and earning them a spot in the Grand Finals against Dallas Fuel.

Get to the top of OWL takes hard work and dedication. Each day begins with staff meetings and video analysis before team scrimmaging until 8-9 p.m. At nightfall, Shock enjoy a team dinner to reflect on past victories while discussing ways to improve for future matches.

Dota 2

Dota 2 is an immensely popular multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Valve. As its successor to Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients, Dota 2 provides players with a deep and engaging gameplay experience which requires them to both think tactically and make quick decisions while on the fly.

Prize money at The International tournament now exceeds $25 Million, drawing talent teams from all around the globe to compete for a chance at reaching its Grand Final.

The San Francisco Shock are one of twelve inaugural teams of the Overwatch League. Owned and operated by NRG Esports, they compete in Blizzard Entertainment’s global professional eSports league. Although they ended the first season with only 17-23 record, their hard work paid off, with them now winning two stage titles and golden stage win, along with having the best regular-season record in league. Their roster boasts talent such as 2019 Overwatch League MVP Jay “sinatraa” Won and 2020 Grand Finals MVP Minki “Viol2t”.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the world’s most beloved shooter games, boasting an audience of 11 million monthly users and boasting an extensive esports scene that boasts professional leagues and tournaments around the globe.

Shock made significant roster moves during the off-season to enter Overwatch League Season 2 as championship contenders, and did not disappoint; reaching grand finals of every stage and ultimately taking first place overall thanks to Jay “sinatraa” Won, known for dominating Flex DPS duels like LeBron James himself.

Shock has enjoyed great success both within Overwatch League and World Cup competition, winning two championship titles and participating at major events such as Intel Extreme Masters Katowice. Their impressive list of sponsors includes gaming chair company DXRacer and wellness technology brand Theragun.
